Andy's Story
Life
After highschool I joined the Navy and was around the world until 1986. I met my wife Sarah in 1984 and we were married in 1988. We are curently getting divorced. Woo hoo!! We have two children, a boy, Andy, 18, and a girl Felicia, 8. I work in property management with communities in Reno, Las Vegas, and in the Bay Area. We have a home in Milpitas CA, which is currently up for sale.. I've really enjoyed this site, it is bringing back some long forgotten memories.Some good, a few bad. Military
After bootcamp, I went to Mississippi and San Diego for training. I was aboard the USS Roanoke AOR-7 in Alameda for an extended tour of the Western Pacific. We missed out on Australia because of the Iranian hostage crisis. I would have to say Thailand was the most fun I ever had during my tour. After that I was attatched to the Fleet hospital at Treasure Island, and then the USS Lang at T.I. I almost re-enlisted in 86, but changed my mind. That was for the best. I'm certainly glad that I missed the Gulf War. I so much loved being at General Quarters!
