Andy's Story
Life
Hi friends. So I finally caved into the spam pressure and signed up for "gold" status. Now, what to say about the 20 years or so since I graduated from high school....the obvious/fun questions first. I have not gotten fat, but I have become somewhat "follicley" challenged. I try to keep it dignified by shaving it close all over (i.e., See world? I am bald by CHOICE!). I ended up graduating from Central Washington University in 1992 with a Theatre degree. From there, I got an MFA in Acting from the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee. I then moved to New York to seek my fortune. I did the struggling actor thing for about 10 years. I also did random things to survive in the interim, like wait tables, temp, and some (very basic) construction work. Also dabbled in film/television/commercials a bit, unfortunately, mostly as an "extra." You can find me in the back of restaurants on many "Law and Order...Expand for more
" and "Sex and the City" re-runs. You can also find me hanging out with Russell Crowe in a "college bar" scene in "A Beautiful Mind" and as "Young Man Jogging By" in a film you may have never heard of called "Kissing Jessica Stein." Anyway, long story short, at some point I found myself in my 30s and sort of over the whole "struggling actor" thing--so for some reason, I decided to go to law school(!). I graduated from New York Law May 2007 and by the grace of God, passed the bar exam the first time. I got married in August 2007 to Lori Yacovone (as my sister would say--FINALLY!). Now I work as an attorney/policy analyst at the "Center for Justice and Democracy" (and no, Superman does not work there). Also, we have an awesome son--Henry Hoffman. So, that's my deal.
