Andy's Story
Went to UVa and graduated in '70. During that time played in a band -- King Edward and The BD's . Spent the next 1 1/2 years in and trying to get out of the Army which I finally did and along the way met and became friends with a large group of people interested in alternative lifestyle, health and communal living -- HIPPIES, YA'LL! Met a fellow named Patch Adams and traveled around Europe/ Morocco/ Turkey / Russia/ Scandinavia for a year on a bus with him and a group .Came back and went to MCV :after which , was in U.S. Public Health Service for 2/1/2 years finally ending up in WV and have been an emergency ph...Expand for more
ysician here for 35 years, which I continue to do on a part time basis. Continued to travel and have spent about 5 more years on the road in and outside the US. Climbed a few mountains including Mt. Kilimanjaro. Was in the South Pacific for about 2 years and did a lot of diving as well. Finally got married at age 40 to my wife, Carol and have been ever since. We did not have children. I continue to love music and go to quite a few concerts when possible and travel when we can. I return to Richmond usually every 4-8 weeks to visit my family. I loved my time at George Wythe and hope to re- connect with some folks.
