Angela's Story
Graduated in 86 and went to East Central on a Softball Scholarship. On May 27, 1988 I married my true love, Steven Wayne Eads of Union. He was in the Navy but was able to be home a lot. By June of 1989 we found out there was to be a child. Since we were married at the courthouse our families decided to give us a heck of an anniversary party. I wore my wedding dress and Steve got permission to wear his Whites. It was a wonderful day I will never forget shared with our family and friends. On September 23, 1989 we went to a Cardinals game and on the way home we were hit head on by an impaired driver. Steve and the baby were gone and I was in for a long, hard fight. After learning to walk again and getting my confidence back I went to work driving ...Expand for more
an 18 wheeler around the country. It was a good way to run away.
Later I came back and got a job in a factory then I had a seizure. Another brick in the wall. I was found to have brain damage they had missed. I tried to go back to East Central. My softball dream of playing professional ball was gone. I couldn't study- it was to confusing for my simple mind! Now I work along side of mentally ill people and I understand them quite well. So that has been my life until now. It has been pretty rough but with God I made it this far. Now I understand what people mean when they say "if He brought you to it He will bring you through it". Just remember that no matter what happens in your life you can handle it. After all we are BLUEJAYS....... Angie
