Angela's Story
Life
I currently live in Apollo PA with my husband and 4 dogs, (we lost one of our dogs in sept '07) and 19 fish. We don't have any kids. We have been married since September '92. We live close to our families and enjoy spending time with our 8 nieces and 2 nephews. We both work for Verizon. My husband is a first level manager and I am an associate.
College
I went to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania for a year. What a year it was. I had 2 different roomates. I did well in the first semester but the second semester is a different story. I didn't have the structure I needed to do well. The best memory I have is of the frat parties we went to. They were alot of fun. Needless to say, I joined the military 3 months after my first year of college. I am currently working on my associates degree in electronics. I only have 9 credits to go.
Workplace
After getting out of the Navy, I had many different jobs. I have been with Verizon since June of '97. I started in Norfolk Vir...Expand for more
ginia with Bell Atlantic and transferred back home to Pittsburgh in April '99. I am a switching equipment technician and I currently do hardware surveillance/analysis of the fiber and video network for Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Military
I joined the Navy after spending a year in college and realizing I needed more structure in my life. Way too much partying in college. Little did I know that it wasn't going to change much in the military. At least I was getting a paycheck twice a month. I learned alot about life though. I met my husband while I was stationed in Virginia. He was stationed in DC. He was down at my base doing the tech control upgrade. He actually graduated high school with one of my cousins back home. Talk about a small world. I join the navy, travel around and end up marrying someone from back home anyways. Oh well, I can't say that the Navy was bad for me. How else would I have been to Panama, London and Hawaii? I probably would still be single too!!
