Angela's Story
Life
I currently live in Dearborn, MI. I spend all my time with my husband and best friend, Tom Linder. We share a passion for Detroit Techno & it's history. I am the proud mother of my twin daughters Cailin & Christina. The girls are 27 and both have great jobs, great families and their mom's great sense of humor.
By day, I work at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor on an all woman wealth management team. I hold my Series 7 & Series 66 licenses and a CRPC designation from the College for Financial Planning.
At night, I do a lot of freelance graphic design & promotional work for Detroit techno artists. I run Detroit Techno Militia and manage the best underground techno DJs in Detroit: T. Linder, Darkcube, DJ Seoul, DJ Psycho, Annix, Neil V. & D0C and 4 national/international DJ's in the US & Belgium. Other
I'm very involved in Detroit's electronic music scene and often see many of my former classmates out and about. Ferndale High School produced some of the finest musicians in the world!
Non-Profit
I have helped launch several Detroit based non-profits. I am the current president of the Detroit-Berlin Connection. We recently launched the Detroit Nightlife United Initiative and advocate for the creative economy in Detroit. I recently stepped up to serve on the non-profit board for the Tec-Troit Electronic Music Festival. I was part of the incorporating board for the Detroit Sound Conservancy. In addition, I am very active in the Rotary Club of Dearborn and I play the trumpet with the Downriver Community Band.
