Angela's Story
Life
Hi! Well, lots of things have happened since high school. I went to VU for two years. During this time, I met my husband. Then my dad got transferred to Memphis, TN and well.I transferred to University of Memphis. My then fiance moved down here the following semester. I graduated from undergrad with a B.A. in Psychology in December of 1996 and was married to my wonderful husband in May of 1997. Then, after he graduated with a B.A. in Communications, I went back to University of Memphis for my Masters. I graduated from there in May 2000 with a M.S. in Counseling. I am now a child therapist working with kids in rural arkansas. It's fun work. I love working and being married. We now have a wonderful little boy (Bryce Rademaker). I gave birth on 1/10/2003. I gave birth 5/10/05 to Caleb Rademaker. My husband is a producer of traffic reports on clear channel stations locally and dies his hair funky colors on many occasions for one of his stations. Feel free to look me up sometime. I miss the Indiana weather being down here. I also have a Shetland Sheepdog(sheltie) and a border collie/black lab m...Expand for more
ix...they're great....Now it’s 2021 and we relocated to Oregon, Wisconsin for hubby’s job 8 years ago. My two older dogs went to the rainbow bridge and we now have a huge black lab mix that we rescued about six years ago. My sons are now 18 and 16. We are huge board gamers.
Workplace
well...let's see...lots of retail while i finished undergrad...loved Border's bookstore...it was a great envivronment. During graduate school i worked retail and interned at many great places...doing child, adult, couples, family, marriage therapy. Loved that "free work". Then i worked for three years contracted to Department of Human Services counseling welfare women to self-suffiency by handling their mental health issues. Now i work as a child therapist....with some really rough kids in rural arkansas....drive across the bridge daily for work from tennessee to arkansas. I do home visits, school visits, and group therapy. I love it!
And now it’s 2021 and I am in private practice as a licensed professional counselor. I work with all ages and specialize in alcohol and drug work as well as intense trauma therapy.
