Anita's Story
Life
I am currently living in Northern California with my youngest daughter. This is quite a change from Southern California and even more so Michigan. I can easily visit ocean beaches, mountains or desserts for day trips. After graduating from Troy High School in 1965, I went to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and got a BA in English and Linguistics and a MA in Teaching of Reading. So, in which field did I make a living? Banking !!! I became involved with employee benefit retirement plans (401-k etc.) on the trust side of the banking industry while in graduate school. School
Has your journey through life brought you many levels of happiness and have you found the trip worth the effort? Life transforms and moves us through emotional and social situations. I have been lucky to experience the mentorship of family and friends as I encountered life-altering choices. In the end we do the best we can from the tools received through education and experience. Hope your trip had much joy and many Âaha moments.
College
Learning how to research and synthesize my research has been the greatest tool from my education. The degrees showed a willingness to stick with goals, but the ability to adapt was the true reward.
