Anita's Story
After I graduated high school, I worked full-time and went to school part-time, but only for a year. I worked retail and waited on tables for a while before moving into the secretarial field. I am now an Office Manager for an electronics manufacturer's rep and love what I do.
I'm all about family....they are the most important people in my life. I keep myself very busy: Family-always there to help when needed and they know it! Friends-my ears and arms are always open for rants and hugs. I love summer! It's my favorite season.... Pool parties, cooking out on the grill...the boat and of course.....the cottage! I enjoy a number of hobbies; sewing, quilting, croc...Expand for more
het, there are so many ideas and so little time to complete them all! =D I read a lot too and we have a mini book sharing group at work.
My brother is a retired Marine, who was severely injured in 2004 by an IED in Operation Iraqi Freedom, but is doing much better now. Because he is a Marine, I got involved with volunteering with the Marine Corps during his deployment to Iraq and have been doing that for the last four years. It is very rewarding and I have made many new friends. Being a part of a military family can be difficult at best, but when you have the support of other military families, deployments aren't as hard as they could be without that support.
