Ann's Story
Life
Since graduating and receiving my bachelor's degree in Sociology in 1984, I met John Shields in 1986, married in 1989 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma (yes from N.Y.C.) and have since divorced and have been raising 3 children: Leah age 15, Andrew age 12 and Daniel age 10. In 1995 I was accepted to graduate school at the College of Public Health at the University of Oklahoma. I spent 3.5 years going to night school, earning my Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration and Policy in 1999. During that time I have since divorced but am still friends with my ex. I have worked in the field of Aging for over 18 years in Social Services and as a Marketing Director in long term care and senior ...Expand for more
housing. I am a published writer for Oklahoma Magazine, specialize in Health Promotions, Alzheimer's disease & related disorders and facilitate caregiver support groups. I never became a "National Rock Star" but turned the tables around and became nationally certified in fitness training. I am currently a Director for Adult Day Services in my home town of Broken Arrow - a suburb of Tulsa. I still keep in touch with my old roomie & longest friend; Cathie Busch and every now and again we bring up some of our memories which include many of you...I guess good friends never die. I am looking forward to hearing from all you wild and crazy "Frat Brats" and those more sane then too. Till we meet again...
