Ann's Story

Xmas..each year we went from dorm to dorm to see decorations..was fun and memorable.. Billie Jean Smith was my closest friend....we continued seeing each other after I came to California in 1952.....For many years, until she passed away, we would meet in Las Vegas ..spend several days, catch up on everything...and corresponded over the year until we met again...I really miss her a lot...she was my soul sister. My Bill. Her nickname for me was ESS (my last name Essary).... We were in the same classes and graduated together....played basketball together and roomed together in our Junior and Senior years. She was a sweet and unique person. I wonder where her brothers, Bert and J.L. are? I am answering questions from STORY WIZARD...some that I previously put on ..I cannot bring up..don't know what I did...told you was new at this...bear with me...... Reading is the top priority on this..blowing off steam.....the wildest thing that I did was probably the time when Mrs. Loyds' girls went to Cameron Park.... two or three of daring and adventurous ones climbed down a high cliff and went in our briefly clad attire to swim in a cold, November river...Ye Ole BRAZOS... Gosh that was fun...funny to remember that after all these years.....Helen Russel was standing at the top of cliff area keeping JIGGER (as we called our alarm system in those days). Up Mrs. Loyd comes behind her to see two very wet girls climbing back up to park....Tried a few books in seat of our pants...that old wooden paddle was monstrous...Only had a few whacks as Mrs. Loyd inspte of her stearn self...Expand for more
, started to chuckle........... If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee and, say a little prayer, and positive thoughts to be able to deal with the day-to-day. no heroes...just hope to meet positive people throughout life..much of my inspiratioon came from my youth and encouragement of friends and teachers at the State Home. Question 13 of 30...I enoyed all my teachers.. would enjoy seeing them all.............. I always wanted to be a dancer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a no opinon idea. As it turns out, they were neither right or wrong......just love to rock and roll, baby.. Bill Smith AKA as Billie Jean Smith. Because we were closest of friends and soul mates..sisters.. I miss you Bill...maybe oneday, God willing. we'll see each other again...love you always and forever, My Bill......ESS .....(question eight of 30)...... To see the Atlantic Coast..shorelines Maine...have an affinity for pacific and would like to see Atlantic shores..... Patience and forgiveness..of them and myself for not always doing the right thing...inspite of which they have loved me all these years....... All of my memories of childhood at the home is memorable..will never forget those moments shared with my brothers and sisters there...I still see their wonderful faces..thru laughter and tears...all those years we spent together..how could I ever forget them and those moments shared together??
