annhollis at usa.net I live in Tucson with my husband of 22 years, Steve Smith. His two boys are grown and out of the house but we still have 2 dogs, 4 miniature horses and 4 blind cave fish.
My husband is a retired Air Force major and teaches band and orchestra at a middle school.
I am in the Air National Guard and became the commander of my weather unit early in 2004. I also was promoted to lieutenant colonel in 2004 and spent 3 months in Iraq. I spent last Christmas in Kosovo so am looking forward to being with my husband this year. I have been forecasting weather for the military for 27 years now but haven't figured ...Expand for more

ann.hollis at us.af.mil I have been with the Air Force or Air National Guard for 27 years now. Since joining the reserve component, I traveled more than I had on Active Duty to include two trips to Sarajevo, Bosnia; one trip to Saudi Arabia and to Iraq; and, most recently, a trip to Kosovo.
As a weather officer, I support both Air Force and Army operations. In fact, I drive a humvee and sleep on cots under the stars, in addition to complaining about my internet connection not working.
