Ann's Story

Life Hello, everyone! I currently reside in the great city of Lufkin, Texas. After graduating from Muskogee High School, in Muskogee, OK, I went to Bacone College for two semesters. In 1985, I traveled back to upstate New York, (where I'm originally from), supposedly just to visit, but I ended up staying there! I got a job at a grocery store in Hammondsport, NY, where I met my husband of 20 l-o-n-g years. We have two wonderful kids; Courteney, 19, and Corey, 14. While in NY, I attended college at Corning Community College for two semesters. In 1995, we moved our family to Huffman, Texas. I got a job as a Food Service/Deli mgr. for Randalls Food Mkts. We moved to Humble, TX in 1996 because of job transfers and then in 1999, we moved to our current location, in Lufkin, for the same reason. We really love Lu...Expand for more
fkin because we were tired of the hustle and bustle of the Houston area. In 2003, I got a second job working for the Lufkin School District as a bus driver. In 2005, the store I was working at closed, so now I'm just a bus driver! The hours are great! After all of those years in management, never having weekends off, or a day off for that matter, this job is so awesome! I get to have quality time with my husband and kids now, which is what life is all about! Update: I now reside in "the oldest town in Texas", Nacogdoches. I work for a local school district as a teaching assistant, and I still drive a school bus. We lost our beautiful daughter, Courteney, in May of 2019, as a result of a brain bleed. I just try to live each day with a positive attitude, and cherish the time I have with my husband and son.
