Ann's Story

Life I have had a chance to do some serious traveling lately. I guess I would like to say that life is just too short. If you think you are going to get the chance to do whatever it is when you retire...Don't wait! There is just too much that can happen. You may never get that chance you thought you always had. School If I could do it all over again, I think there are only a few things I would do differently. However, I am who I am today because of everything in my life. I would have to say I had quite a few teachers who have inspired me in several different ways. Mr. Broaddus was a terrific English teacher and I wrote my first book because of him. Mademoiselle McIlhaney was also excellent. I still get a chance to use my french to this day with friends and family. Ms. Davis... if it hadn't been for her, I think I would have ended up flipping burgers. When I was defeated in geometry, she made me get right back up and take another ma...Expand for more
th course. Thank you so very much!!! I thought I had lost my love for math but I was sooo wrong. And you were so right, Ms. Davis!!I don't know how I could ever have lived a day without it. Definitely Mr. Perkins and Vector Man!! He made physics easy and I use it in my daily work. Mr Trogdon was spectacular at keeping me focused on the right things. Mr Trevino for saving me during an incredibly terrible freshman year. Mrs Simmons... I have stayed in the field of science. You helped me understand the Krebs Cycle and I still use that in my daily life. There are friends I have lost touch with but if you get a chance, email me... I would love to know what everyone is up to now. (Patricia Pattison, Paula Rosenberg...) Workplace After I graduated from HS, I worked a summer in construction. That was enough to make me get my degrees. Hard work comes in so many different ways. I enjoy my career and hope to be fully retired in another 5 years.
