Ann's Story
Life in Bruce County couldn't be better. My husband and I love living here in Paisley. We are both very busy in the community. I am active in parish life [Anglican], which translates into taking services and preaching, being youth minister, leading Bible study, preapring all the printed material for each Sunday, and whatever other duties my priest can cook up for me. She's terrific but doesn't like to see me idle.
Myles and I both agree living in vacation land is wonderful. The beach is 15 minutes away; the countryside is beautiful; the Saugeen River for canoing and kayaking is a five minute walk - in three directions!; and Walmart, Crappy Tire & the Independant [Loblaws] are less than 20 minutes away. Life is very good to us.
I completed a graduate diploma in theology a couple of years ago and thought I was done with school. Uh-nuh! I am back at Trinity College {Toronto School of Theology}, enrolled in a masters of Theological Studies. Most of my courses this time around are on-line. We have one dog, an aging beagle, and two cats, both roughly 11 though not related. Needless-to-say, vaccuuming is frequently needed. We also have two very large fish tanks - one with African cichlids [exotic freshwater fish for those who don't know], but they don't shed. Myles wants a lizard but I keep trying to buy him off with stuffed lizards and firm "no"s!
The gardens are Myles forte but I sure love the constant blooms.
After many years on disability, I am in the process of finding work. To that end, I am acting volunteer coordinator at the county musuem ... the budget request includes paying me as a half-time person! Pray the budget passes! Meanwhile I am applying for other jobs...
I also put my graphics/journalism skills to use by editing/writing/assembling in Publisher a community newsletter... they also have me working on turning an exhibit into a book at the museum!
Myles operates a computer repair company were he goes to you... and a Web site design and maintenance company. Keeps him hopping!
