Outside the Kwik-Chek in Caruthersville, he was looking for Thad Wilson's house (they were on the University of Missouri Golf team together)
My Pets
Chili is a small, tan mutt that had been dumped on my parent's country property 5 years ago. He was starved and had been abused, as evidenced by broken hind legs.I'm happy to say that he's now on a diet because he's overweight, and the vet thinks his crooked back legs give him character! He loves to snuggle and go for walks, and he doesn't like his sweater and booties that he got for Christmas much!!
My Kids
Our daughter Stephi is 15 (16 in February) and she can't wait to drive. She is very much into music...choosing to quit the basketball team (much to my dismay) to be in a percussion ensemble this winter. She plays Baritone Saxophone in the marching and jazz bands, and ...Expand for more
plays 3rd bass in the percussion ensemble (It's heavy, she says!). I love that she still likes to talk to me and tell me "things", even though I'm old, and she's not.
Our son Payne is 13, and is on the brink of manhood, oops, to look at him, you'd think he'd already made that leap. He's 6 ft tall and weighs 170 lb and was starting lineman on offense and starting defensive end on his football team this fall. He is looking forward to playing college football (and NFL??) in the future. He's also playing basketball this winter...keeping me busy driving, and cheering his team on!
My Job
I am a Medical Technologist at a small hospital on the south side of Denver. Right now, I'm working graveyards, and work in all areas of the lab. I wanted to be a Med Tech since I was 13, and you know what, I still enjoy it after 16 years in the field.
