Anna Edwina Jones's Story
Life I was born Aug. 25th 1968 at Eglin Air Force Base, Okaloosa County, Ft. Walton Beach, Fl midnight. I've been to about 10-11 schools so far in 4 states and may go back to school again soon. I have been to about 30 U.S. states, the U.S.V.I., Tortola B.V.I., Jamaica, Grand Bahamain Island, and Cancun do far between moving when my father was still in the USAF[he is a ret. Lt. Col.], living the school years with my parents and the summers with my sister and brother-in-law, vacations, and working with Delta Airlines. It's been lot's of fun and I still have many places to visit. I can't wait!!!!!!! I have been married and in process getting divorced, no children, living in Birmingham with all of my family and many of my friends[and fortunately a good way to visit the others], staying fit and starting to do more traveling. I love my Lord, family, friends, life and job!!!!!!! School I have gone to Whispering Montesori, Altamont, Briarwood Christian H.S., University of Montevallo, Sabre Training School in Dallas, Tx, and Adventure Travel Agency. I was in Phi Kappa Nu Sorrority 1984-1987 and Rush Captain in 1985, was in high school and Dawson Memorial Babtist Church choirs, various clubs and committee's, various musicals either acting, singing or backstage, volunteered for American Red Cross 1983-1987 in Birmingham, Georgia, and North Carolina. I was in student government on various committees, appointed to the student support services advisory board, in Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity, and served on various college night production committiees --Go purples. Workplace I modeled for Parisian in Fort Walton Beach, Fl when I was very young, I have volunteered for American Red Cross, and been a live-in house keeper, worked in retail at Aland's, Pan Handler Gift Shop[Panama City Beach, Fl 1990], Oxford and Lofton, Fuddruckers where I was a baker and hostess, and Macy's where I was also an assist mgr for a short while. I modeled for Elan Casablancas 1986-1988. Later, I worked for Richard Tubb Interiors as a home consultation assist, open house assist, and merchandise display; Carlson Wagonlit Travel at the 81st RSC in accounting and as a travel agent, International Tourrs of Birmingham Inc. when it was in Mt. Brook as a leisure, corporate, group, consolidator and tour operator/travel agent, and know I work for Delta Airlines in Birmingham. Military My father is a ret. Lt. Col. in the USAF and was born in 1968 at Eglin Air Force Base Hospital, Okaloosa County, Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. and have traveled in the states with my family while my father was still in the military. I wanted to follow in his footsteps, but I have a history of general absence and petit mal seizures and heart troubles. Oh well. It was fun to travel and it forced me out of SOME of my shyness and in some other ways almost made me more shy or maybe I just built a self defence wall so I would not get so hurt every time I had to move or switch sch...Expand for more
ools like a gypsy and leave all the friends I made. It is very hard to keep up with so many people and most of the one's I new before I was 10 or 11yrs old I barely remember, do not have pictures of except maybe 5-10 of them and cannot find them so those of you who do have memories and pictures of people you knew and were close to ALL of your life please be very greatful. All in all the Lord has blessed me in many ways and I have been given lessons, opportunities, experiences and memories I may never have had if it were not for the military.!!!!!! My first job was at Aland's, where I got paid 5.00 to sell clothes, etc. What I remember most about it is I felt more independent. I have been to about 10 schools so far and lived with my parents during the school year and my sister and brother-in-law in the summers so my oldest friends were military brats like myself and were used to the life and writing to keep up with each other. We would get to visit sometimes during spring break or summer and one of them was a model with me for Parisians when we were about 10 when we lived in Washington D.C. In 10 years, I hope to be retired from Delta Airlines. I'm going to get there by getting older and wiser.. Most of my ribbons and awards were when I was very young for painting, archery, horse back riding, some martial arts. Later, I was an American red Cross Volunteer from 1983-87, a delegate to the American Red Cross Youth Leadership Development Center from 1983-1987. I was a youth choir member at Dawson Memorial babtist Church from 1986-1987. I was on the Star Councel at Macys in 1994 and for awards that is about it. I share my home with my best friend/soulmate/lover/husband, Michael Gary Coleman and our 2 dogs and 2 cats, which I find a blessing in the skies.. We dress classic style and jeans with a nice shirt. We are very casual people. My best friend would tell you I'm sweet, crazy and lovable, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as fun, energetic, and a good listener.. My current age is 39. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be haveing families, working and traveling a lot. I was so completely correct depending on the job. If I won $100 million, I'd give 80% of it to various charities, then spend the rest on friends, family and traveling. I have no kids from my first marriage or this one and we do not plan to have any. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Jennier Zigler and Cathy Stotts, because they were 2 of my best friends since I was about 8 or 9 yrs old until I lost touch with them a couple of years ago and miss them very much.. My father. Since he survived Veitnam and kidney cancer and was killed horribly by a drunk, I not getting into any details. It is too hard to talk much about him without ending up in tears. I would blow off steam by excercising, talking to friends and/or family, read/listen to music while I thought about the issue at hand and prayed about it.
