Anne's Story
Life
I live with my fourteen cats. I spend my time designing, renovating and planting the gardens at my Quebec stone farmhouse. My daughter Maija is living in (almost) Marina Del Rey with her husband Andre and my grandaughter, Isabella Francesca. They are involved in computer animation and education. Maija is past chair of the advanced technology department at The American Film Institute in LA. My sons: Andrew is living in Toronto and and Christopher north of Vancouver both are involved with design, construction for display companies and the film/TV industries. Andrew also composes music and performs from time to time. It's nice that they have so much creative energy.
I studied Candide a few years ago (which was on PBS tonight ...Expand for more
- the Leonard Bernstein version) and was content to plant my gardens. But now I haved purchased a 1850 heritage stone farm house with 57 acres for gardening and landscaping - earthworks. Constable and Giverny will have to wait because of the currency exchange.
Am processing tomatoes and making hot pepper jelly. Smoking jalepeno peppers and experimenting with pesto - coriander - sage - parsley with different nuts. making yellow tomato sauce with roasted yellow peppers. Will expand the herb garden next summer. Sandy loam and simple irrogation system which I installed myself. Great tomato, pepper and squash/pumpkin yeild. One should always take up farming in one's dotage. All I need for clothing are jeans, sweats and Wellington boots.
