Anne's Story
After graduation from Ruffin, I went to the Women's College of the University of North Carolina where I obtained a degree in history. While there, I began singing with a band. Afer graduating from college, I continued singing and taught school for 30 years. Singing made my life infinitely happy.

ement from teaching, I looked after my parents. My father passed away in 1998 and my mother passed away in 2005.
Since then, I have remodeled/renovated two houses I inherited. I am living in the same house I lived in when we were in high school. I sold my house in Greensboro to pay for the work I had done.
