Anne's Story
Life
My Spouse
I saw him over the passthrough at the White Spot at Douglas and Caledonia. He was cooking. I got a job there so I could meet him! Well, that's how the story goes, anyhow. I really got a job there because I had a friend working there, and she fixed it so I could get a job, too. Pat Brennan was, indeed, a grillman there, and I did, indeed, find him gorgeous, but we didn't start dating until I'd been dumped by my boyfriend, several months later. In fact, Clyde Moore (another grillman) tricked us into going out. I guess he could see we were both interested but needed a little push. He came to me a few days before New Year's Eve of 1977 and said, "What are you doing on New Year's Eve?" When I said, "Nothing," he said, "Well, Pat Brennan really wants to take you out, but he's too shy to ask you." I said, "Well, tell him I'll go out with him....Expand for more
" Then Clyde went to Pat and said, "What are you doing on New Year's Eve?" And the rest is history . . . .
My Pets
I have a tuxedo cat named Bista and a calico cat named Jazzy (short for Jasmine), and they make our lives worth living. :) My little Bista is only seven pounds, and the friendliest cat you could ever meet. She runs to greet everyone, likes to groom us (with little love bites thrown in), and loves to schnoogle! Jazzy is nearly twice Bista's size, and a complete scaredy cat--but also the funniest cat I've ever met. Lately she's taken to taking swigs of my bathwater. Bista doesn't drink the bathwater--she just sits on the edge of the tub and licks whatever's sticking up out of the water! Jazzy likes to rub her white head and neck on my black boots after they've been polished. Someone said I should just put the shoe polish on the cat . . . .
