Life
After Lourdes
After Rochester Junior College and Winona State I got a teaching position in Princeton, Minnesota. While teaching there my first year I met and married my husband Randy. We met in October and married on Monday, May 31st, Memorial Day. Had I been living in Princeton when Randy arrived to teach I would have been a junior in high school.
Together we had two children. Martha was born in '73" and Mark in '77'. They are both married now and living in the Minneapolis metro area. Martha blessed us with two granddaughters. The youngest has just now turned two. I love being a grandmother. It has been amazing watching the girls grow....Expand for more
Haleigh, the oldest, is ten.
My husband Randy passed away on January 2nd, 2003. He was an outstanding person. He never fit into a typical "male" stereotype, and yet he was a very manly man. He was driven to be physically fit. He wanted to be fit enough for the next surgery. Randy experienced many surgeries. He had four kidney transplants. I miss him. He missed the birth of our last granddaughter by three days. My daughter and her family were there for his funeral. Zoe was only one day old.
Now I am facing retirement. It looks good to me. My mom and two of my sisters are living in Rochester. I'll be able to spend more time with them now.
