Anne's Story
Life
Hello from Florida! I have been happily married for over 27 years and have a step-daughter followed by four children. Catrina, married to Kenny, has two children, Madison and Jack, Harris, married to Katie, has a son, Hank, Daniel is a snow board bum in Tahoe after graduating from UF, Elizabeth is getting married in a month and will also be a graduate of UF (GO GATORS!!), and our baby, Garrett, is about to graduate from high school to also attend UF. After raising children for many years, I went back to teaching, 90-00, then came home to work with my husband, Rick, at his electrical contracting business, Generous Electric, Inc. We are having a great time with our kids and grandchildren, doing a little traveling to Europe and select places in the states, and the never ending work on the house. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me even if you are afraid I won't remember you. I was great friends with Leeanne Smith, Steve Wilson and Scott Wilson. Orlando, FL
College
after graduation, went home to Virginia, met Rick, married, had two boys, moved to Orlando, had a girl then a boy. Taught PE for ten years at the kids school. Lots of volunteering, church activities and traveling. Our eldest just finished up four years in the Army as a Ranger. Our middle two attend the University of Florida, our baby is a freshman in high school. Am really enjoying life and all that I have been blessed with.
Workplace
Out of college I worked as a substitute teacher in Fairfax, VA. Once children came along I was an at home mom until 1990 when my youngest was two. At that time I went back to teaching full time in Orlando, FL so that my husband could begin his own business. I held the PE position for ten years. In 2000, I "retired" and became his bookkeeper at 10am instead of at 10pm!!! I am happy because my day is flexible and I am able to meet all of my children's needs without having to take time off of work. We are now co-owners of Generous Electric, Inc. and are quite happy.
