When I left Nanaimo after graduation I could hardly wait to live in the big city (Vancouver) so I find it amusing that for most of my adult life, 38 years and counting, I have lived in an even smaller community, Salt Spring Island. d together we have three wonderful adult children and three awesome grandchildren.
Since my parents have passed away my connection to Nanaimo has diminished but occasionally I get “off Island” and make the drive to big city that I once found too small <g>. So perhaps I will run into those of you who still live there someday.
