Life
I married Randy Hammond in 1987,we stayed in Des Moines and had a daughter in 1990. We then moved to Columbus, Ohio where he took a transfer with AT&T to keep his job. We then had a son in 1994 and I lost Randy to a suicide two days before Christmas 1994. I moved back to Des Moines in January of 1995. I went to our 10 yr reunion that year and introduced my husband of now 9 yrs William Kopsa. I was a student at Hamilton College there in Des Moines studying Medical Assisting. I'm happy to say I graduated and passed my Certification boards. We got married in 1996 and moved to Newton. We sold our house in Newton and now live in the small town of Gilman,Iowa. This is by Grinnell, Newburg, Marshalltown areas. My husband got laid off with Maytag and my kids are 16 and 11. Bill's National Guard Unit 234th Signal BN out of Marshalltown was called to active duty in March 03 and ended up in Baghdad Iraq. He recently came home May 8th 04. My biggest crush would have been my first true love boyfriend. Tom Beall who went to North we dated almost 3yrs. I wonder what it would have been like to have not broken up with him? Would we still have been together and ended up getting married? I haven't forgotten about him in all the years I've been married and widowed and remarried. YOU JUST DON'T FORGET YOU'RE FIRST TRUE LOVE. The teacher that inspired me most, I would have to say was Mrs. Murphy. I got class whiner. LOL! Oh, and who could forget Mr. Eaton in DECA? The younger good looking blonde teacher Mr. Long! The most memorable school memory would have been our Senior Class trip to the Mississippi River on that boat over night. OMG! Who still has those pictures? I remember we filled out papers for years from then to look back on who has those? Just being the last graduating class of Des Moines Technical High School and the friendships made during that last year. Annette
