annie's Story
After graduating from the University of Alabama in 1972, I went to work for the Cooporative Extension Service /Auburn university. Then, after two years with that program, I went to Texas and taught at a very small Christian college before coming to Anderson,Indiana, getting married and settling down to teaching and rearing three beautiful African -American children. I have since retired and am continuing to work at developing my Company Simply Silk etc. by Ann, decorating and designing for special occasions (wedddings and receptions and other special events). I am no and longer married and enjoy spending time with family and friends and working in my church. After all of this, I am still often amazed at how much time has passed but how we still are able to enjoy life by keeping hope and faith alive!
Since writing my profile, I have visited home (Tuscaloosa) three times, lost two wonderful brothers who I miss greatly: my younger brother Johnny and my older brother Henry who got his start in singing and directing music, his legacy, at Industrial or Druid High. Yet I have been strenghthened and encouraged by the love bond of my unique family.

y of Alabama because of the great and more positive changes which have taken place over the years. I have also found a deeper love and appreciation for the Lord of my life Jesus, the Christ.
I still find that life is still worth living. Because of the romantic that I am, I believe in love and God as the giver of love. He leads us away from those who are evil and not like Him and leads us toward those who love and respect Him and others. I am not afraid to try again after the healing. God gives us second chances. We are wise if we take them, quite unwise if we do not, often because of pride or fear.
*ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂMost people fail at whatever they attempt because of an undecided heart. Should I? Should I not? Go forward? Go back? Success requires the emotional balance of a committed heart. When confronted with a challenge, the committed heart will search for a solution. The undecided heart searches for an escape.
A committed heart does not wait for conditions to be exactly right. Why? Because conditions are never exactly right. Indecision limits the Almighty and His ability to perform miracles in your life. He has put the vision in you -- proceed. To wait, to wonder, to doubt, to be indecisive is to disobey God.
