I have this uncanny knack for running into people from my past. It borders on the bizarre and happens with staggering frequency. Yesterday morning I got on the 1/9 subway at Times Square to head downtown to my office. It's the same drill most days. Squeeze into the train...have a glance around the car to get a feel for the environment and try and enjoy the 10 minute ride to the West Village. I dig people-watching and NYC is the place to do it. If Audubon had a top-ten list for this sort of thing, Manhattan would undoubtedly be on it. Rarely do you see the same face, more than once and all seem to be unique and interesting. So...there I am having a look around when all of a sudden I notice a woman sitting, almost directly across from me. She's striking. Slightly sunned skin, physically fit, comfortably dressed and sporting a set of crystal blue eyes that radiated like jewels. I exaggerate, not in the least. But wait...I know this woman! After a few seconds (that seemed like longer for some reason) I deduct that it's none other than Holly Greif!
