Anthony Chambers:  

Life Anthony Chambers is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychology, Research Program Coordinator for The Family Institute and the Center for Applied Psychological and Family Studies, and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist on staff at The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Dr. Chambers received his undergraduate degree from Hampton University, and completed his M.A. & Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Virginia (Department of Psychology). He completed his internship and post-doctoral clinical residency at Harvard Medical School & Massachusetts General Hospital, specializing in the treatment of couples. Dr. Chambers also completed a two-year post-graduate fellowship specializing in couples¿ therapy at The Family Institute at Northwestern University. His clinical interests also include premarital counseling. Dr. Chambers has completed training and is an approved provider in two of the most comprehensive and well respected divorce-prevention/marriage enhancing programs in the world: PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program) and PREPARE/ENRICH. Dr. Chambers is the recipient of numerous awards and is the author of several publications, grants and presentations focused on couples functioning and on young adults' professional development. He was the principal investigator for a National Institute of Health funded study examining fathers' reported relationship satisfaction and its impact on the transition into fatherhood.
