Antonette's Story
I have two beautiful daughters. My oldest graduated UCSB, is married and living with her husband near Philidelphia. They have a beautiful baby girl and I am so proud to be a new grandma! My younger daughter gradated from CSULB and lives near me.
My husband passed away Nov. 2007. It's been a tough year but I have been blessed with so much support. Both with the greatest family and many, many good friends from church.
I am head of the Prison ministry program at a large church in the Valley. I have been teaching biblically base...Expand for more
life skill classes to inmates for over 12 years now. I also coordinate the Angel Tree program. A program which provides Christmas gifts to children on behalf of their incarcerated parent.
To pay the bills I am a hairdresser at a great salon in Granada Hills. I've been at the same salon for over 20 years. I absolutely love my job. I love people, and my job is like visiting with friends all day long. It also gives me flexablity to be able to run my prison volunteer groups.
With all the trials and challenges life is still good.
