April's Story
I think the weirdest job I have ever had, would be the one I have now. I never would have thought in a million years I would work at a wastewater treatment plant. I work in the lab, so no, I do not come into contact with turds. For some reason that is the first thing people always ask when they find out where I work.
I am the Lab Technician so I get to play with chemicals and fun instruments. I love that...Expand for more
I don't have to deal with the public like I did with other jobs, chemicals are so much easier than people to deal with.
I just have to put it out of my mind where some of the water I run analyses on came from. Very little of the water that I test is municiple, it is predominantly industrial waste. But when I see chunks of stuff like food I think la la la la I did not see that corn it is just dirty water.
