April's Story
Life
Not much with me. I worked in Banking for 18 years, joined the Army in 1988 but never got to my destination of Ft Worth Texas for nursing.
I have lived in CT, Washington State and Arizona. In Arizona, I worked at Coca Cola from 2000 to 2002. I moved back to CT in 2003 to take care of my father in law and then moved back to AZ in 2003.
I started fulltime at the college here in 2003 and I graduated this past December 2006 with my associates degree in Nursing.
In January of 2007 I started working in the ICU department as a Nurse at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood AZ. I just love my job. It is never too late to go back to school. LOL
I got divorced and thanks to my wonderful ex and still good friend Todd, I have the best guy in my life now. I met him while I worked at Coca Cola.
I have found much happiness in my relationship with my guy John. We are quite the pair he at 6'5 and I at only 5'2! Took me a while to find the right guy but I fi...Expand for more
nally did. He is the best thing that has happened to me. John is what I have been searching for in my life. When someone completes you its the best feeling in the world. We both share in our love for the Lord.
He has two daughters, Rae and Sami. I can't have children so these too are very special too me. We have our ups and downs but thats pretty typical in a blended family. I am very proud of them.
I have a step daughter from a previous marriage, Jeanette, and I just miss her. We still keep in touch. OMG, she is going to be 15 this year!! I came into her life when she is 5. Wow how time flies by!
College
Finally..... I can check this off my list of things to do in my life!! Yavapai College, Prescott AZ... finally done... OMG.. no its not!! I am working towards my BSN and then will go on for my Masters. Once I get my BSN, I will be working hopefully with my college and become a Clinical Instructor. Nursing is just not a job for me, its my life.
