April's Story
Life
April Joy O'Koren, PMP MBA Â April is President, CEO and founder of Project Masters Inc. and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 20 years Project Management experience in a variety of industries. She has extensive experience in software engineering, systems engineering, training and quality management. She earned an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems, and a BS with concentration in Computer Science, both from the Binghamton State University of New York. She is past President of the Project Management Institute, Baltimore Chapter and a past board member of the Charter/Global Registered Education Providers for the Project Management Institute.
April has developed processes and procedures to set-up project management offices (PMO). She has analyzed and recommended the project management software tools, which work the best for the types of projects managed. She has extensive consultative experience in Project Management consulting, training, organizational development, facilitation, and auditing. She consults with senior management regarding the design, implementation, training and reengineering of project management within organizations.
She was married for 20 ½ years to David O'Koren, he passed away with a heart attack at age 43 on 9/10/06. She has no children only a dog. She traveled all over the world with her husband going hiking, SCUBA Diving, motorcycle riding, and skiing.
Now she is working on finding a new normal, with the Lords help. She goes to a great church Mclean Bible church and she is involved with a minstry called "Business Leaders for Christ". where she helps other business owner lead like Christ. In her new normal she is continuing to travel all over the world in March she was in Paris, France. She is still doing her Scuba diving and still rides her motorcycle.
I can say April is doing great with her new normal with the Lords help and friend and family.
