April's Story
After high school I went to work full time and partied and played. In 1995 at the tender age of 21 I moved to Norman, Ok to go to school and get out of Ponca City. I ended up working full-time and not going to school. I partied and almost married a really nice guy who was way to imature. A few years later I encouraged a friend /ex-boyfriend to move to OKC to get out of Ponca and away from his soon to be ex-wife and all the drama. I really thought we would have a chance to get back together. But it wasn't to be. In December 1998 I met the man who I would eventually marry. He was a year out of high school and dating my friend. 3 years and lots of fertility meds to get our handsome little man. I nearly died during his birth. If it hadn't been for our fantastic doctor neither one of us would be here. In December 2007 I finally finshed my BA in Women's History and Humanities with a minor in Women's Studies from the University of Maryland. I am currently finshing up my Masters and working towards my Ph.D. At ths time I am a full-time Work At Home Mom. I teach online classes in History and Women's History. I am currently finshing up my Master's Thesis. I love to read, paranormal investigation (nothing uis better then a good ghost hunt), and knit. If I am not working on my thesis or teaching or playing with my son Courtland (our punk rock hip hop skateboader linebacker tackel fashion guru son) I have needles in hand and can wipe out a hand knit item in no time flat.
