April's Story
Life
Ugh...a task that is not so easy to do, sum up the past 20 years of my life. I suppose I could say I am married have children and have a good life. Isn't that a bit vague? What else does anyone really want to know?
I will give you some basic information and hope my life is not too boring for you. I married my husband Ron in April of 1989. We had our daughter (Jenna) in May of 1991 and our son (Tyler) in June of 1993. Life was busy. We were young with two kids. I worked as an RDA (registered dental assistant), my husband worked for DHL. We bought our first home in 1991. It was a nice place to raise two small kids, but we soon grew out of it. By the time, they were 8 and 10 we decided to buy our second home, which is where we are today. As for Jobs, My husband works for a mass transit in the Bay Area of California called B.A.R.T. (Bay Area Rapid Transit). For any of you that might have made it out this way, you might have ridden on it. It is pretty cool. I am a P/T Financial Asst. and I still go to school P/T, hoping one day to finally get my B.A. Our kids are both in HS now and they are g...Expand for more
reat kids. They both have been accepted into a HS in which they take college courses at the same time. There school day is from 9-4:30 so they have a long day, but they enjoy it and I think since they are on a college campus it is more fun.
I spend a great deal of my time volunteering and I enjoy that as well. My house seems to lack the touch I once gave it, but that is okay, some day maybe I will get to all those projects I thought about doing.
I have been blessed with the best of friends. Recently I have lost a great friend to Breast Cancer and just found out another friend is stage 4 Esophageal Cancer, no treatment, no cure. It is heart wrenching and I feel so helpless. Anyway, their courage in fighting has shown me how awesome the human spirit is. I am humbled by their grace and constant worry about everyone but themselves.
I don't know what else to say, except that I hope anyone who has taken the time to read about my life has had a rewarding and meaningful life as well. In a way, I miss the days at MHS, but wouldn't do them over for anything.
