April's Story
April, whose father was in the Army, moved with her family from Wiesbaden, W Germany to St. Louis, Mo in 1979.She was eleven years old at the time and stayed until she was eighteen. The 6 1/2 years she was in St. Louis were the best because it was the first time she was able to stay in one place beyond the normal three year tour of duty her father was always assigned. Having spent her most formative years in St. Louis, April considers the city her home. During her stay in St. Louis, April made long lasting friendships that are still going strong today. She left St. Louis two months after graduation in 1986 when her father was once again transferred for a second tour to Germany. nd states. After Germany, her father transferred to Ft. Hood, Texas in 1989 for a final tour before retiring from the Army. Being an army (brat) dependent has afforded the St. Louisian experiences that many were unable to enjoy. She's traveled many places before settling in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2003, where she is a single and happy writer who is very much active in her church. April has just finished writing her first full length stage play and is currently conducting rehearsals for an April 2014 show date.
April's fondest memories are not of the tourist rides to Switzerland or Austria but of the six years she spent in St. Louis, Mo. She will always be a NCCS Crusader! P.S. Not quite sure why I wrote this in the third person but, oh well. There you have it! LOL
