After graduating Vestal in '86, I worked at Burger King until I could enlist in the Army to become a Cobra attack helicopter repairer. Before attending Vestal, I had attended Edison Tech in Rochester. At that time I had enrolled in their aviation program (the only high school at that time in Upstate New York that had such a program). It was because of Edison, and the popularity of the Airwolf TV show at the time, that I fell in love with flying. I had hoped to become a helicopter pilot while in the military, but that didn't work out as planned. But I enjoyed my four years of service to my country. I spent nearly all of my time in service stationed in Germany - except for a brief five months in Southwest Asia. You might of heard of what we were doing there - Operation: Desert Storm? After my discharge in '92, I went to work for an independant contractor for Airborne Express (now DHL). Fifteeen years and five independant contractors later, I have been a warehouse worker, courier, courier-trainer, dispatcher, supervisor, and assistant manager.
