Arlen's Story
Arlen is from London, Ontario. Arlen is widowed. Arlen's schools include North & South Esk Regional High School. Arlen later attended Didn't go. I left school around Easter 1964, came to Ontario in June 1964 as a 17 year old. I spent a short stint in the Canadian Army, then worked in the trucking industry for 39 years, the last 28 with Labatt Breweries.I married my wife Linda in 1971 (deceased June 30th 2012) I have 2 Daughters, Tammy and Janine also 3 Grandchildren. I live in a small village 25 mi NW of London I have been in the same house since 1977. I live alone since my wife passed. I often think of NSER and some of the people I went to school with, a lot of names I have forgotten now. I came from Strathadam, my parent's moved there when their home in Silliker's burned in 1942. avelled to many parts of the world and want to see more. I retired in2006 and about 2 month's after retirement I biked across PEI and really felt like I accomplished something. In 09' 13' 14' I biked from my home to Miramichi a 2 week trip. I biked from Victoria BC to ST John's in 2011 and Have my bicycle in the shop getting it ready to cross Canada again. I fly to Vancouver on 20th June. I took up running at age 60 and have run in the Boston Marathon (2013) and New York City Marathon (2014) and have run many 1/2 Marathons including Disney in Florida. I volunteer at a number of different events, this week we have a quilt show at our community center where I will work in the kitchen, park cars. In summer when I am not off somewhere I water the town flowers once a week. I work part time at the local drug store. I am not too savvy on the computer so hope I manage to get this to some people that know me and be interested in telling me where they are and what they have been doing all these years. Arlen
