Life After Roosevelt I became an apprentice in a linotype shop which prompted an interest in Typography and Graphic Arts. In May of 1953 I entered the US Army Corps of Engineers,for 2 years. I did a 17 month tour in Korea as a cook with the 185th Combat Engineers and returned home in May of 1955 as a Sgt. I attended NYC Community College in Brooklyn, and majored in Advertising Production Management (Graphic Arts.) After graduation and several positions at small advertising agencies, I landed a Production Manager's position at Wunderman, Ricotta and Kline, a major AAAA advertising agency. While living and working in Manhattan, I met and very quickly I married a very special girl, Jean Ellis, and enjoyed 42 years of storybook romance and marriage with her until Leukemia claimed her in Sept. of 2004.
