Arnold's Story

Life Joined Air Force in 1969. One Year in Korea, then Hawaii. Took local discharge in Hawaii, finished undergrad degree at Univ of Hawaii, then MA, English. Left Hawaii in 1977 to do PhD in English at Claremont Grad School outside LA. Quit PhD and went to work as editor for Playboy, then columnist for Emmy Magazine, and other pubs. Married in 1988. Moved to Bethesda, Maryland ...Expand for more
in 1996 and worked as contributing writer on medicine for TIME Magazine and USA WEEKEND Magazine. Also contract writer for National Institutes of Health. Divorced in 2007. Moved to Los Angeles September 2006 to write a book with a brain surgeon. Due out in March 2009 (Warner Books). Six more books since. Military USAF, 1969-73' Osan AFB, Korea 69-70; Hickam AFB, Hawaii 70-73.
