Art's Story
One of my favorite things is finding new music and artists. (New to me at least.) Recent finds are "The Dresden Dolls", "The Waifs", "The Ditty-Bops", and "Susheela Raman". I'm always looking for new artists, so if you have any suggestions, send 'em on.
I always wanted to be a adult when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a unrealistic idea. As it turns out, they were right.
I suppose the closest I come to a hero would be JFK. Actually much of who I am developed from reading 4 books: The Harrad Experiment, Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee, Stranger in a Strange Land, Johnny Got His Gun.

to questions. I have lived in a dorm, and also in a barracks. Dorm is much prefferable. I joined Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and remain in touch and active with many of the brothers. Seems a bit strange for an aging hippie, but what the hell.
I do have some trophies. Actually I still have all the medals I won as a swimmer back in DP. The more current trophies are from coaching soccer. I began coaching my son in a youth soccer league. As the years passed soccer in Des Moines and for me grew together. My final go at it was as the High School girls varsity coach. We qualified for state in my final year.
In 10 years, I hope to be way retired. I'm going to get there by any means necessary..
