Art's Story
I went to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and got a BA in Business but mostly learned to ski. Then, after two years selling in Kansas as a representative for a new product that took off like gang busters, moved back to Durango, bought a house and ran a Ski Rental shop and skied every day for 6 years. In the summer time it was kayaking and backpacking. What a great life for a young person!
We bought an Ace Hardware store in New Mexico and we started our family on the high plains. When the right time to move on came in 1988 Beverly and I moved to Atlanta, Ga and built our first house in Roswell, Ga. I worked for a Swiss company, Hilti Inc. for almost 17 years.

daughter, Susan, danced ballet for 16 years and danced with professional dance groups in Atlanta. She went on to University of Dayton. Susan has two beautiful daughters, Ava and Tessa, who we adore and love living close to.
Son Carey was the Chief of the Order of the Arrow for BSA in 2000. He was the top Boy Scout and won a Jefferson Scholarship to University of Virginia. He is currently working all over the world as a consultant with McKensy consulting out of Atlanta, GA.
We moved to Denver and then in 2005 moved to Phoenix to be with my daughter and her family as active grandparents. I retired in 2008. We have traveled to Europe a couple of times and spent time with friends and relatives in Germany and France. Italy is soon to come.
