Arthur's Story
My school journey started in 1949 at Stockton School I attended Stockton to the 5th grade I moved and finish my 5th and 6th grade at Emerson.I attended Memorial Jr High part of my 7th grade year and went to Montgomery Jr High School in Linda Vista I soon returned to Memorial where I graduated.My time at SDHS was good and challenging I got caught up running with the wrong fellas me and some of the fellas decided to join the Army National Guard in our jr year of school during that time we were placed on active duty for six months when I return I didn't have enough credits to graduate with the class of 62 Mr Burroughs advise me I wouldn't be able to graduate until Dec of 62.So I headed to Synder going to school 8 hours a day doubling up on all my class's I did graduate I didn't...Expand for more
have the opportunity to walk with my classmates from Diego but I did rec my diploma from Synder. I attended city college briefly I then decided to go regular Army I left San Diego in 63 headed to Okinawa from there spend time in Korea,Ft Hood Tx,Ft Benning Ga,Ft Campbell Ky
Vietnam,2 tours in Germany in between all this I married, have four grown sons five grandchildren after my injury while in the army which ended my military career I worked has a emergency 911 operator for 29yrs for the local law enforcement here in Clarksville TN I lived in this area for about 35 yrs when I first came to this area it was culture shock so much land and other wild varmints running wild most of these you would see at the zoo.This is where I call home now I retired in 2005 and enjoying life.
