Moved around the world from doing various things for the U.S. government. Primary mission was to support cryptologic operations in support of national interests. Retired from the U.S. Navy, Oct 1992.

The DoD personnel recovery mission is important for a number of reasons:
- To return isolated personnel to friendly control
- To deny the enemy a potential source of intelligence
- To prevent the exploitation of captured personnel in propaganda programs designed to influence our national interest and military strategy
- To maintain morale and the national will.
We provide operational support, training, education, oversight, guidance, analysis, and technology integration to enable commanders, forces, and individuals to prevent, prepare for, and respond to isolating events across all phases of operations. These things we do that others may live to return with honor.
