Ashley's Story
How I got here all began with a yearning. A yearning to get in contact with the one teacher that I'll always remember, although I have had other teachers that came after her. I know here only as Mrs. Treadwell (I hope that I'm spelling her last name right, lol). She was my 3rd grade teacher at Morton McMicheal Elementary School. She was the first teacher, that I can remember, who saw my talent for writing and encouraged me to keep on writing. She always took an interest in me, keeping my determination up and praising my hard work. I didn't graduate from Morton McMicheal - certain events in my life at the time ensured that- and I lost contact with, in my view, the greatest teacher in Philadelphia. Now I'm 24, married for 2 yrs now to a great guy ...Expand for more
and a new mother to a 3 month old daughter. And thanks to her (and to all the other teachers that I have encountered) I'm very close in achieving my dream of becoming an author (only a few small steps lay ahead of me). So if anyone who has attended Morton McMicheal during those years that I was there and remember me, then I hope that they hit me up anytime.
Of course I have not forgotten about all my other classmates and teachers throughout the years and I give them an open invite to get in contact with me.
Hope to reconnect with you all very soon!!!!!!!!!
In 10 years, I hope to be a best-selling author. I'm going to get there by doing what I always been doing all my life......working my butt off, keeping focus and not giving up...EVER!!.
