After HS I went to UMas Amherst and majored in botany. In the middle of my junior year I married my botany professor. (A really bad idea). We were married for 33 years and had 2 children - Jonathan (age 43) of Lebanon CT where he is a veterinarian. Jonathan is married to Kate and they have one daughter, Piper (age 12). Carolyn (age 38) lives in Amherst with her husband Matt and their 2 children., Elin (age 13) and August (age 6.). Carolyn went to UMASs Amherst and majored in music education. r home studio., I did scientific research with my husband for about 20 years studying modern and fossil pollen with the light, scanning, and transmission electron microscopes. I have published several papers with my husband. I had a call to ministry in my last year in HS and freshman year in college but abandoned it when I embraced science. But it came back and I entered Andover Newton Theological Seminary in Newton Centre MA (part time) in the fall of 1993 and finally graduated and was ordained in the fall of 2002. I will have served 3 churches - Easthampton Congregational Church, UCC from 1999 -
