August's Story
The last 45 years have found me all over the world. I went to Prytania Private School for 11th and twelfth grade. I was married in 1966, one year out of high school to Sharon Marrone, a Warren Easton cheerleader. We had a child the next year, Tommy. Life was understandably tough those early years. he next year in flight schools at Texas and Alabama. I serve a year in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot followed by year and half in Ft. Hood Texas. Left the service in 1973 and landed a civil service position with the Air Force in Bell Chase LA. I remained in the military reserve and received a direct commission to Captain in 1980. I was hired by the Navy in 1976 and remained there until 2001 when I retired. I retired from the Army in 2002. I have been married for 43 years. Two sons and four grandchildren.
