August's Story
Life
I graduated from Walker in 78 and immediately joined the army whereupon they turned me into a black ops killing machineÂ

. Oh wait, no, thatÂs not me, thatÂs the plot line for Gross Pointe Blank sorry. Actually shortly after graduating from Walker I chose to pursue my life long dream of playing football for Notre Dame but my grades werenÂt good enough so I went to Holy Cross collegeÂ

.. UGH sorry, again not me that is the story line from RUDY. Really this time; when I graduated from Walker I went into the army and served in Vietnam where I was captured and forced to play Russian roulette for the amusement of my captors  DAMN  that wasnÂt me that was Christopher Walken in Deer Hunter. Really this is it  I graduated from Walker with honors and went on to LSU to again graduate with Honors, then on to Law school at UCLA and IÂm now CEO of Waste Management the largest waste management corporation in the world  DAMMIT thatÂs not me either - thatÂs David Steiner. Ok I give up. If I were to have planned my future after Walker Id have attended LSU and graduated, (with honours), with a five-year undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture. Then I would have quickly moved to Florida where today Id be designing gardens and landscapes for corporate executives and quasi celebrities. Either that or Id own a nudie bar called Dancers, Dancers, Dancers.
No Wives, No Kids, No pets at the moment. Lots of friends old and new. Still obsessed with beautiful women, never been shot nor stabbed, (likely because of the never married thing).
School
I canÂt mention crushes at Walker, itÂs to embarrassing. Safe to say that if you were female, I crushed on you.
Had a lot of friends guys and girls. Walton, Kenny Strong, Charles Bardwell, Archie Massena, Bruce Johnson, Cindy Hullinger, Louis Kaufmann, Jay Kullman, John Poncetti, Greg Alexander, Steve Lazar and that Camaro, James Feeney, James Falcon, Mike Lewis, and on an on and on. I know last name spellings are wrong but I did that off the top of my head and it has been nearly three decades  DAMN IM OLD!
Best teachers. Mrs. Lee - Spanish, Mrs. Daniels - History, Mrs. Cole - Biology, Mr. Contrary  Advanced Math.
Worst Teachers  UGH - DonÂt ask donÂt tell.
Funny memory - Danny Trahan and I had Mrs. Lee Spanish just before lunch our senior year. Three out of four days a week we would leave her class, sneak thru a gap in the chain link fence behind school, jump into his pale yellow VW Bug and chug over to McDonalds. Always returning in plenty of time - one day though we returned to campus back to find Mr. White guarding the gap in the fence. UGH. WasnÂt a big problem though we just walked around the building and walked into the front door  1978 school security.
Worst memory  those damn race based fights  DAMN!
College
LSU - Go Tigers. Class of 83. Five year undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture. Graduated on a thursday and was working in Florida the following tuesday - been here ever since. Still would like a graduate degree but the planets havent aligned properly for that yet.
Workplace
Started professional life as a student intern with a large Land Planning firm in Orlando - upon graduation I ended up with those guys and stayed with them for two years. Then moved on to join a group of Architects in Winter Park Florida,Sutio One, and with them was able to do design work for custom homes here in the united states and work on a range of commerical projects in the US an in Japan, Korea, Spain, Greece, blah blah blah. - spent a decade with Studio One and then another five years with one of the partners after she left to go out on her own. Ive been on my own for the last ten years. Work late, sleep late, life is good.
