I graduated college in 1995 with a BS/BA in Finance... I know, it took me awhile. I started working for GTE (now Verizon) in 1986 and will celebrate my 23rd anniversary in March, 2009. It's official, I have worked for this company over half my life. Most days I feel good about that, but sometimes the thought does make me shudder a little bit. In 2006, I was spun off and merged with MCI to form Verizon Business. I spent many years in Finance managing incentive compensation for our Sales force. I am now in Marketing Channel Management. That was one of God's little jokes, but it's worked out well and I'm thankful for His sense of humor. I picked up a little twang in my speech since moving south. Enough of one that people who *haven't* worked for the company for 23 years think I'm a native Texan. I have many favorite southern expressions that I try to use profusely when talking to people in the northeast, who think the dialect is cute. One favorite is "all y'all." How can you not love saying that?!?! For those keeping score, I've been married twice. My first husband was Glenn Yarwood, who also attended Greenfield schools.
