Barbara I.'s Story
After graduating from Southern High School in Baltimore, MD. I attended Coppin State College; received a degree in Secondary Education Social Science. My first job after college was working for UM Community Pediatric Center on Redwood St. It was a federal grant project that ended in 1973. arried and moved to The Bahamas. While working for the Ministry of Education in Freeport, Bahamas I started going to graduate school during the summers and received a Masters Degree in Library Studies from Atlanta University in 1987.
I taught language and literature for 26 years in a secondary school. In 2006, I was transfered to the district office to train teacher-librarians.
