Barbara's Story
Hi All -
I got married a year after graduation and as my husband was in the Navy, we had to move to Virginia for 4 years since that's where he was stationed.
We had a son in 1987 and in 1989 we moved back to Illinois. I divorced in 1992 and remarried my current husband in 1995. I now live in Addison with my husband and my son (do children EVER leave home?!?)
I didn't go to college after high school and thought that I had missed out, so at 29 years old, I put myself through school. As a single parent, it took me 6 years, but I did it and it's been one of the best things I've ever d...Expand for more

I still have a few friends from Lake Park (Therese Tollick, Mary Gomez, Ricky Guevara), but I lost touch with alot of good friends when I moved to Virginia (there was no email back then).
I played softball until I was 21 and 5 months pregnant, but don't play much anymore. Injuries and 3 titanium screws in the knee kinda keeps you from moving like a jungle cat - oh...that and old age, too!!
Anyway....life is good and I look forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion in 2009!
