Barbara's Story
During my junior year at Rippowam High School, my guidance counselor told me I wasn't college material!!!! Wish I could have seen him after graduating from Colorado State University (Ft. Collins) with a BA in English and from Regis University (Denver) with a Masters in Nonprofit Organizational Management. I feel sorry for students who falsely believe what people in authority tell them.
Life has been a great adventure. So far I've visited France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Honduras, South Africa, and Swaziland and lived in Israel for almost 6 years. I think my husband and I will stay here in sunny California for a while and enjoy visits from...Expand for more
our three children and five grandchildren.
I was laid off from my job in May 2011 and decided that what I really wanted to do was to retire and focus on my writing. Since then I have joined a writers' group, learned Mah Jongg (both the American and Chinese versions), started a blog chronicling my Mother's journey with Alzheimer's disease, and completed first level Rainbow Reiki training. We also adopted a rescue dog - a cute little Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix who makes sure we get out for a walk twice a day, whether we need it or not!
